Montessori at Enrich
Nurturing confident, capable and curious learners
Our Montessori-inspired approach creates an environment where children feel safe, confident, and free to explore their own interests at their own pace.

What is Montessori?
Originally developed by Dr. Maria Montessori, this educational philosophy and way of living views children as naturally curious and capable. With the right balance of freedom and support, children can take ownership of their learning. This helps them build the skills and confidence that gives them a head start in school and life.
In a Montessori-inspired environment, children develop:
- Focus and concentration
- Independence and confidence
- An internally driven love of learning
- Respect for others and their environment
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills
- They learn because they want to, not because they’re told to
Montessori is more than just a method. It’s a way of seeing and supporting the whole child
Why Montessori matters for children
The early years are when children’s minds, and identities, are most open. Montessori gives children the tools to:
- Trust their abilities
- Follow their curiosity
- Make thoughtful choices
- Solve problems patiently
- Build real-world skills (like dressing or serving food)
- Develop emotional awareness and resilience
- Form respectful, kind relationships
- Build a strong foundation for school and life
Montessori children are often described as calm, focused, and grounded. More importantly, they feel confident in who they are and their capabilities.

What our families say about us
Families choose Enrich not only for our Montessori-inspired approach, but for how we care for the whole family.
Inspired by Montessori and Emotional Intelligence— we nurture confident, independent children with strong mindsets & kind hearts

The Enrich difference
Montessori-inspired + EQ focused
At Enrich, we do things a little differently— and intentionally so.
We’re proud to be the first centre in Australia to implement the EQM approach, which blends the best of the Montessori method with emotional intelligence teachings.
The Montessori and Emotional Intelligence-inspired approach creates a warm, welcoming environment that inspires the children to follow their interests and learn at their own pace. Above all, it teaches the children the tools and strategies for a happy and successful life.
From the moment you walk through our doors, you'll feel the difference
Raising curious thinkers and gentle leaders
We’re not about rigid routines or beige colours; we’re about raising curious thinkers and gentle leaders with strong mindsets. What you’ll experience once you walk through our door:
- Children choose their own activities with joy and focus
- Educators guide children calmly rather than telling them what to do
- Calm, warm and welcoming rooms designed for exploring
- Real-world learning: pouring drinks, caring for plants and setting the table for lunch
The EQM approach helps children become academically and emotionally ready for primary school, promoting their well-being and success in school and life.

“Isn’t Montessori rigid, serious, and all beige?”
We hear this question often, and we get it. Social media has created a misconception that Montessori means beige rooms, structured routines, and colourless toys.
That’s not the Montessori we know, and it’s definitely not the Montessori-inspired Enrich way.
Montessori at Enrich is:
- Laughter during outdoor play
- Freedom to explore and create
- Beautiful, intentional spaces
- Children getting muddy, silly, and curious
- Learning to assess risk and ask for help when needed
- Purposeful play that builds real-life skills
It’s joyful. It’s empowering. And it works.
