The EQM approach to early learning
We provide the children with an EQM-enriched educational program, blending Montessori principles and Emotional Intelligence teachings with the Early Years Learning Framework
Grounded in the Early Years Framework
Our curriculum is grounded in the Early Years Learning Framework. This framework provides a solid basis for your child’s early education. It ensures the development of important skills such as communication, physical development and social skills.
Its principles, practices and learning outcomes are designed to support children in reaching their milestones and learning school-readiness skills.
What the EYLF teaches the children
It’s about belonging, being and becoming. The children learn to:
✔ Develop a strong sense of identity
✔ Connect with & contributing to their world
✔ Have a strong sense of wellbeing
✔ Become confident & involved learners
✔ Be effective communicators
Our unique EQ and Montessori-inspired curriculum
The EQM Approach is a unique combination of emotional intelligence (EQ) teachings and the Montessori method.
This progressive approach arose from the owner’s vision to create a Centre where children learn the tools and strategies to feel and do well in school and life.
The result is an Early School like no other, where children are seen and valued for their unique contribution to this planet and are taught the foundations for happiness and success.
Empowering learning experiences
Our curriculum empowers children by allowing them to explore their interests. Educators at Enrich Early Education follow a child-centred approach, providing a tailored curriculum that adapts to each child’s interests and developmental needs.
The classroom environment is designed to meet the needs of the students. We provide a calm and nurturing environment so children can enter a state of flow, which increases their ability to focus and extend their attention span.
Extra-curricular activities
All children attending our centre receive a complimentary extra-curricular activity program. The enriching educational activities support their mental and physical development.
The 2024-2025 activity program includes:
✔ Nature Nurturers
✔ Soccer Stars
✔ Melody Makers
✔ Intergenerational Interaction
✔ EQ Enrichment
✔ Happy Feet dance Program
Community-oriented
We believe a well-rounded early education means forming strong connections with the community. Therefore, we regularly organise incursions such as a visit from the fire brigade.
Every week the Kindergarten children visit their grand friends through an intergenerational program called Village Friendships. This program allows the children to form meaningful relationships with senior members of our community.

How we document learning journeys
We have several ways in which we document and communicate about the children’s learning journey:
✔ Photos of their day in our parent communication app.
✔ Personal observations by the educators.
✔ Group observations by the educators.
✔ Personal chat with Ellen and Megan.
✔ Parent-teacher conferences.
✔ Student portfolios.
We encourage our families to be involved in their child’s learning experience. We would love to hear about what’s happening in the child’s life and what interests them.

The EQM Approach
The EQM Approach came to life when Enrich Early Education owner and EQ Expert Ellen Perkins met with the highly experienced Montessori professional Claire Yates. Scientific studies have shown that children taught using the Montessori Method have a higher EQ than mainstream students. Together, Ellen and Claire have further developed these teachings to incorporate specific emotional intelligence practices to create the first-ever EQM early school. Designed to set each child up for wellbeing and success in school and life.
